Get Rich Quick
So many people these days have the "get rich quick" attitude. Let's think about this. Unless you are a professional athlete, actor, or entertainer(etc) you have to work hard for your money. (Not saying they don't because I'm sure that a lot of hard work goes into being one of those things, it just happens to pay more then the average salary.)
There are no shortcuts in life, and if you think you have found a way to take a shortcut to get something that you want, then you are probably cutting out a very valuable step in the process. I feel this is a big problem in society today. We are cutting out valuable steps that require us to think, work, or take more time. That's life. There are reasons why your math teacher taught you how to do things you will probably rarely need in your life.
As our economy is today, people are beginning to not think about others. Instead of actively looking for jobs, people are content with staying on unemployment until it runs out, and then complain when it does. Unemployment to me is like welfare. Yeah it's a good thing in the short term, but when people begin to abuse what it is there for, it is no longer good for our society.
These are all life lessons that have been forgotten by most in today's society. Instead of being interdependent, most of Americans are becoming dependent. It's time for people to realize the consequences of being dependent. Stand up and do what you need to do, and do it the right way, to take care of yourself and your family. A lot is to be said about your character if this is how you look at life.
Getting rich quick is a dream. The sooner people realize that it takes hard work to get what you want, the sooner our world will begin to get on the right track!
